Franz Meyer Museum

Hidalgo 45, Centro Historico, Cuauht moc, Mexico City

About the company:

The Franz Meyer Museum has the largest collection of decorative and applied art in Latin America.

German financier Franz Meyer has been collecting artifacts for the museum for over 50 years. In 1975, he established the Bank of Mexico Cultural Heritage Trust, but the museum was not opened until 1986, 11 years after Mayer's death.

The collection presents decorative products and other items showing the design styles of the XV-XX centuries, for example, books, textiles, ceramics, glass and porcelain, jewelry, as well as works of art and religious relics.
