Diego Rivera Fresco Museum

Balderas y Colon S/N, Centro, Cuauht moc, Mexico City, Mexico

About the company:

The Diego Rivera Fresco Museum was opened to preserve a unique fresco painted by Diego on the wall of the Prado Hotel in 1974. The hotel was demolished after the earthquake of 1985, but the fresco "Sunday's Dream in Alameda Park", measuring 15 meters long and 4 meters wide, was decided to keep and display in the museum.

The fresco depicts various Mexican public figures of different times - such as Juana Ines de la Cruz, Maximilian Habsburg, Benito Juarez, Jose Guadalupe, Francisco Madero, Porfirio Diaz, Jose Marti and others. Diego Rivera depicted himself in the fresco in the form of a child who holds the hand of Katrina Posada and stands opposite his beloved wife Frida Kahlo.
