Description:
The Sacred Heart Redemption Church was designed by Mexican architect Enrique Sanya in 1902. Its construction lasted sixty years. The church building is made in Romanesque style. The dome is crowned by the image of the Sacred Heart.
The church consists of two levels. In its lower part there is a crypt, in the upper - a temple.
The facade of the crypt is richly decorated. Here you can see sculptures of St. George, the Virgin of Mercy. Its walls are decorated with mosaics of the Holy Trinity. On the vaults and walls of the crypt are images representing biblical scenes.
At the top of the church is a temple. On the main facade of the temple there are three statues: Michael the Archangel, St. Mary Margaret and the statue of St. Theresa. Above the door of the temple is a large openwork arch. There are three altars in the temple. One of them is in the center, the other two are located in the right and left corners.
