Romantic Walk

Romantic Alley is a picturesque street located a few meters from the aqueduct and the Tarascas fountain in Morelia. This is a small street with buildings built in the XIX century.

The original appearance of the street was originally different: there was a soap factory, many buildings built of samana with earth floor, pointed roofs with beams, tiles, where factory workers lived. After the closure of the factory, the houses were abandoned until the twentieth century.

In 1965, the buildings were restored, fountains, lamps were installed on the alley, gardens were laid out, and the street was officially named "Romantic Alley". It is included in the catalog of historical monuments of Morelia.
