Description:
The Tlacolula Chapel is a small colonial-style building that includes metal structures and whose walls are covered with paintings dating back to the period of colonization.
The chapel was built in 1523 from stone and mortar and is an integral part adjacent to the complex of the temple of the Assumption, the construction of which dates back to 1531. The building of the chapel is rectangular and on top is covered with the main dome.
Among the special attractions of the chapel are the old pipes of the organ and the wrought iron gate. Inside the room there is a neoclassical altar, next to which there is an image of the Virgin Mary.
