Aluxes Ecopark is a wildlife conservation and renewal center dedicated to the development of innovative methods for reviving Mayan culture.
The center is designed for family recreation and simultaneous environmental education. The Aluxes Ecopark has integrated a collection of regional flora and fauna, which is now part of a program for the conservation, restoration and distribution of aboriginal plant and animal species.
The park includes both a room for educational programs, and its own small zoo, greenhouse and equipped places for picnics and so-called "ecological recreation".
