Plaza Borda in Tusco
Description:
Plaza Borda is a cozy lively square in the city of Tusco (Puebla state), surrounded by ancient buildings. The square is named after the Spanish aristocrat of French origin Don Jose de la Borda, known for his charitable activities. Rich in silver mining, de la Borda built the luxurious Cathedral of Santa Prisca at his own expense.
Residents of the city thanked him, immortalizing his name in the name of the central square.
Plaza Borda is small in size, paved with tiles. In the center there is a wooden gazebo, drowning in greenery, and elegant metal shops are installed around the gazebo and along the perimeter of the square.
The square is ideal for leisurely walks or relaxing in the shade, for romantic dates and walks with children.
