Museum of Folk Art
Calle 3 Nte. at 12 Pte, Puebla, Mexico
About the company:
The Folk Art Museum is a museum that was created to promote and preserve Mexican crafts and art. The museum building houses a huge collection containing ceramics and glass, textiles, as well as furniture and kitchen accessories. There is both a permanent exhibition and a temporary one. Modern Mexican masters bring their works to the walls of the museum of folk art. They organize exhibitions, during which visitors to the museum evaluate the presented products.
Exhibits for the permanent exhibition were donated by several educational institutions, as well as the masters themselves. The Folk Art Museum contains five rooms. Each of them is dedicated to a certain type of craft. The museum has a hall of religious elements, a hall of everyday things, a hall of folk art, a hall of fantastic and magical things and a hall in which the products of masters of the last century are collected. The Folk Art Museum was opened in 2006.
