Church of Our Lady of the Covering

Rí o Santiago 105, Agua Azul, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Description:

The Church of Our Lady of the Covering is a modern religious building built with funds raised by local residents.

The church was built in 1960 with donations from local residents. It is distinguished by a simple chaste architecture, reminiscent of the Gothic style, but without frills. The facade of a light but bright brick is framed by two pointed towers. There's almost no jewelry.

Inside, the interior is also almost ascetic. But it looks quite bright and even joyful. The bright colors of the walls, several multicolored stained glass windows and the neatness inherent in churches animate the space and create a special benevolent atmosphere.

The church is on a small elevation to which the ladder leads. There is a small chapel in her yard.
