Lake Crystal

about 3 km south of Tulum, Mexico

Description:

Crystal Lake is a so-called cenote, that is, a natural reservoir formed as a result of the erosion of rocks. The purest Cenote Crystal, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, is an ideal pond for swimming.

The name of Lake Crystal is not given by chance. It emphasizes the exceptional purity of water. Surrounded by lush palm trees and exotic birds, of which there are many, it is very similar to a paradise. Clear water allows you to see everything that happens in the water column. This reservoir, like other similar ones, is best suited for swimming and scuba diving.

As a rule, a small entrance fee is charged for passage to the cenotes. There are also some rules to follow here. For example, do not use sunscreen as it can damage a sensitive ecosystem.
