Nansiyaga Park

Nansiyaga is a large national park located along the Gulf of Mexico.

The territory of this park is unique due not only to the landscape, which is formed by pyramid-shaped hills, but also to the shamanic village of Katemako. On the territory of this village, an annual meeting of shamans is held, where anyone can improve their health or even damage the enemy for a reasonable fee.

The unique landscape of this area arose due to strong volcanic activity in the past. And now the landscape attracts here not only crowds of tourists, but also eminent directors. Many famous Hollywood films (for example, “Apocalypto”, “Healer”) were shot on the territory of this reserve. From the part of the scenery that remained after the shooting, a kind of museum was made.
