Theodor Cano Garcia Museum
Calle Rodolfo Curtin 101, Papantla
About the company:
The Theodor Cano Garcia Museum in Papantla de Olarte tells about the life and work of an outstanding Mexican artist, the creator of his own school of fresco art and popularizer of Indian traditions.
The small museum is located in Theodora Cano’s hometown in Veracruz. Here you can see a selection of works that vividly illustrate the main trends characteristic of Mexican art of the second half of the XX century. Kano Garcia, a student of the legendary Diego Rivera, continued the work of a teacher and created his own school of fresco painting, dating back to the cultural traditions of pre-Columbian America. The artist’s museum houses a collection of paintings and sculptures by Theodore Cano and artists of his circle.
