About the company:
Tuxteco Museum is a small local history museum located in the heart of the city.
The museum building is divided into four rooms, which exhibit archaeological artifacts, wooden busts, statuettes, vessels and even gilded wooden sculpture.
The museum’s collection includes exhibits related to the civilization of the people living in the region several thousand years ago, ranging from the Olmecs and Totonacs, ending with later settlers from the Teotihuacan Empire.
In the courtyard of the museum you can see huge stone heads belonging to the Olmec people. The largest of these heads weighs about twenty tons!
