The Wine Festival has been held in Moldova for more than 10 years in a row, and every year the scale of this event is gaining momentum. Every year, events that are preparing for this time become more interesting, more and more participants of the festival appear – namely, wine producers who want their wine to be tasted, appreciated and, of course, bought. In the Central square of the city there are many presentation tents, each of which is decorated to the taste of the manufacturer, where there are tables and benches, behind which you can slowly savor the drink and enjoy the atmosphere.
Every year at the festival held a competition called "Tulburel", which means young wine, and receives the producer, whose wine in the opinion of the buyer better, tastier, aromatic. At the end of the holiday, the winner receives a statuette with the same name.
The wine festival in Moldova is held on the first weekend of October of the month and the most famous wine enterprises such as “Cricova”, “Milestij Mich”, “Pivnicele de Branešti”, “Chateau Kozhushna”, “Chateau Varteli” and “Purcar” take excursion groups at reduced rates.
In addition to the Central Square, the events of the Festival are also held on the territory of the Moldexpo Exhibition Complex. At the opening of the Festival, there is a masquerade ball dedicated to the triumph of wine and the god Dionysus.
