Pushkin House Museum

The house - the museum of A.S. Pushkin is located in Chisinau, and tells about the period of stay of the great poet in this city. After the poet was expelled from Russia for three years by order of the tsarist administration, he came to Chisinau, where he stayed at the house of General Inzov. This is where this museum is located today.

The three years that A.S. Pushkin spent here gave the world such great works as “Gavriliada”, the first part of his famous novel “Eugene Onegin” and many others came out from under the pen of the maestro. All of them are in the treasury of world literature. During his stay in Moldova, the Russian poet actively communicated with the local literary elite.

The exhibits presented here tell about the life of the poet in Chisinau. Here you can see engravings, sculptures, paintings, objects related to the decorative art of the early 19th century and the publication of works written by A.S. Pushkin in Moldova.
