The temple is decorated with a statue of a six-armed goddess with a tongue sticking out and red eyes. The journey from Kathmandu takes no more than 45 minutes by taxi. Throughout the trip, the road lies among the picturesque mountain landscapes. Along the way, you can make small stops and admire the unique natural beauty of Nepal.
Near the walls of the temple, locals sell flowers, buffalo milk and the original milk product “khuva”, resembling a mixture of yogurt and condensed milk. On Saturdays, the inhabitants of the surrounding villages wear their best clothes and pull on a leash of goats to sacrifice them to the goddess. Locals believe that the goddess Kali, having received a sacrifice, will fulfill their wishes.
