Temple on the ponds Shesh Narayan
Description:
In Farping just above the Shesh Narayan ponds is one of the four most important Vishnu temples in the Kathmandu Valley.
The temple was built in the V century AD. It does not amaze tourists with its beauty, like other temples of the valley, but, nevertheless, pilgrims constantly come here, because in this temple, one of the strongest masters of the Ningmapa tradition (Old School) – Chatral Rinpoche lived in seclusion in the VIII century. It is here that the caves where the guru meditated are located, and later Buddhism spread throughout Tibet.
The ponds themselves Shesh Naryan attract the eyes - the water in them is so transparent that through its surface you can see colorful fish frolic with each other.
