Bote Kosi River Gorge
Nepal, northeast of Kathmandu, a few kilometers from the border with China
Description:
The Gorge of the Bote Kosi River is one of the most impressive places on Earth and a real mecca for all bungee jumpers. The gorge is located northeast of the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, a few kilometers from the border with China.
The depth of the Bote Kosi gorge is 160 meters, which is equal to the height of a fifty-storey house. The spectacle opens stunning - at the bottom a thin strip winds the river, sandwiched between vertical cliffs, and a solid jungle stretches around. More recently, this place was adapted for bungee jumping - an extreme version of the Russian "bungee". Bungee jumping is an attraction in which participants are tied with an elastic rope, and they jump down from bridges, high-rise buildings or other objects.
The Bote Kosi Gorge is perfect for this adrenaline entertainment. The duration of a free fall is four seconds – and they seem like an eternity! After that, the rope begins to stretch and the fall slows down.
Bungee jumping in the Bota Kosi Gorge is the perfect entertainment for all seekers of sharp impressions. People with a fear of heights have nothing to do here, but everyone else can experience one of the most powerful experiences in life.
