Tribhuvan International Airport
Description:
Tribhuvan International Airport, opened in 1955, is the only international airport in Nepal. It is located 6 kilometers from Kathmandu towards the east.
There are domestic and international terminals at the airport. Since the runway here is only 3050 meters, the airport does not accept large aircraft. It has about 30 major airlines, including Yeti Airlines, Agni Air, Royal Nepal Airlines, Flydubai, Indian, Dragonair and others.
Inside the station building there are several mid-level restaurants and small shops. But for passengers flying first class, more comfortable conditions and service are provided.
Some of the most popular destinations are Delhi, Amsterdam, Mumbai, Dubai, Hong Kong, Bangkok and others.
If you want to get to Nepal’s main attractions quickly without experiencing difficulties on narrow, car-filled roads, it is best to use local airlines.
