3-day trek to Gosaikunda

Description:

Apart from being a breathtaking lake with great mythological significance, Gosaykunda Lake is a great place for trekking. One of the main features of the 4380 (14370 ft) high lake in the Rasuwa area of Langtang National Park in Nepal is the freshwater oligotrophic lake, which serves as the main source of the Trishuli River.

This lake trek is suitable for people who have little time and want to see more in a short period of time. The lake freezes for six months from October to June. The beginning of this campaign is in the small village of Dhunche, Rasuva. Of course, the most fun part of this hike on the lake is the marked dreaded lake. But the main feature of this area is the traditional clothes that people still wear and the traditional “Khukuri” that everyone wears. Mani and gompa stones are widespread, and the tamanga community makes up the majority of the population. You can visit the oldest cheese factory and gompa in Chandanbari. To get to Lauribinayak, the hike will really test your strength.

From this top there is a stunning view of Ganesh Himal and the Langtang Ridge. The route passes along alpine, juniper, oak, rhododendron and forest trails. Once you leave the forested area, the surrounding hills and mountains will be spectacular and you will get what you are looking for in terms of hunger and thirst. The surrounding hills and mountains will be spectacular. The route mainly consists of climbs with short walking intervals on flat terrain. It is said that Lord Shiva created the lake by swallowing poison and then sticking his trishuli (sacred trident) into the hills to release water and feel his throat.

Gosaikunda trek can be made from different points such as Dhunche, Syabru Besi to Langtang Himal or from Sundarijal in the Kathmandu Valley.
