Association of Tour Operators of Russia assessed the possibility of binding a passport to a COVID certificate n
The possibility of entering passport data into COVID-19 electronic vaccination certificates is positive news.
This was stated by the Vice-President of the Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR) Dmitry Gorin.
This is very good news, because without reference to the passport in certificates in English would be meaningless. Certificates can be used for travel to Greece, Croatia, in the future – to Montenegro as an alternative to PCR testing or antibody testing. As borders are opened and the Russian vaccine is recognized by other countries, the geography will expand.
According to Gorin, there will be savings for tourists, since you do not need to constantly spend on PCR tests. At the same time, the Vice-President of ATOR asked whether these certificates will work in the opposite direction, that is, upon arrival in Russia. He noted that it is now necessary to do a 3-day PCR test upon return.
Earlier it was reported that the certificate of vaccination from COVID-19 can now be obtained on the portal of public services in English. At the same time, an electronic certificate may contain data on a person’s passport, if they were indicated in the personal account.
Previously, the electronic certificate included only information about the internal passport of the country, which did not allow Russians to use it for travel abroad.
