Association of Tour Operators of Russia: subsidized charter destinations will save on vacation
Vice-President of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Dmitry Gorin said that the program of subsidizing charter flights can almost halve the cost of trips to a number of regions of Russia.
In 2020, this program worked in a pilot mode and was recognized as successful.
The program allows you to almost halve the cost of travel to a number of regions of Russia — Altai, Khakassia, Kaliningrad region and many others. Directions are determined by tour operators together with Rostourism. Now there is a task to “open” new places for tourists in Russia – there is an assessment of their demand, opportunities for hotel infrastructure, transport accessibility. We hope that the number of subsidized routes will gradually increase.”
According to him, the subsidy program allows tour operators to develop new routes in Russia, and tourists - to save on vacation: If earlier the average price of a weekly tour package, for example, to Baikal started from 70 thousand rubles per person, now it is 22 thousand in winter and 30-35 thousand in summer. That is, a comprehensive tourist product can now be bought at the price of an air ticket for a regular flight.”
Earlier, the head of Rosturizm Zarina Doguzova said that in our country this year, a program of subsidizing tourist charters for at least 12 routes is planned.
