Montenegro extends visa-free entry for Russians

The Russian Foreign Ministry reports that the government of Montenegro has made another decision on the temporary exemption of Russian citizens from obtaining visas, from April 1 to October 31, you can stay in the country without a visa for up to 90 days.

In March 2021, the Government of Montenegro adopted another decision on the temporary exemption of Russian citizens from obtaining visas. According to the document, citizens of the Russian Federation from April 1 to October 31, 2021 can enter, cross the territory and stay in Montenegro for up to 90 days with a valid identity document without a visa.

During this period, Russian citizens for short-term entry into Montenegro for up to 90 days from the date of first entry is sufficient to have a valid passport.

This decision does not eliminate the need to obtain appropriate visas for Russian citizens who intend to work or study in Montenegro.
“Given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, changes in entry rules are possible,” the ministry warned.
