Geography of family tourism: where do Russians go with children?
Parents with young children travel mainly in Russia, junior and middle school age can “start” and abroad – this opinion was presented by analysts of the service Tutu.
The analysis was based on issued tickets with a travel date from June 1 to September 1, where children are present in the order.
General trends: children under 5 years of age travel mainly in Russia - 87.6% of parents. Less than 12.4% go abroad. With older children, adults are more likely to travel abroad - 16.3 per cent.
With tourists, children often travel to the south. And the top destinations where older children (6-18 years old) fly are almost the same as the popular destinations among adult tourists.
The most children's route is Moscow - Simferopol - 18.2% of all tickets sold in the country, where there is a child under 5 years old in the order.
The top 10 included three flights to the Crimea (from Moscow, Peter and Salekhard). Most of the ranking is occupied by southern cities. Children are being taken abroad to Tivat.Montenegro) and Burgas (Bulgaria), but the share of families in the total flow is not large - a maximum of 6.5%.
On the most touristic flights to AntalyaTurkey) the percentage of families with children is 2.1% with children of school age and 2.3% with children.
