The state Duma adopted a bill that simplifies the issuance of entry visas
The state Duma in the final, third reading, adopted a bill that will simplify the process of obtaining tourist visas for foreigners entering our country.
Tourists will be able to arrange an ordinary tour visa on the basis of booking in a hotel or other accommodation facility, information about which is available in a single list of classified hotels.
A permit to stay in Russia will be issued for up to 6 months for citizens of all countries, regardless of the “principle of reciprocity” – the presence of a similar policy of these countries in relation to tourists from Russia. Now such visas are issued for a period of up to 1 month.
The bill should receive approval from the Federation Council, and will be sent for signature to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Earlier, the head of Russia also proposed to simplify the issuance of electronic visas to foreigners. According to him, with the end of the pandemic, restrictive measures will be gradually removed, which will increase the growth of tourist flow, and for the development of inbound tourism, the process of obtaining visas should be more convenient.
