How can you save money on the New Year tour?
Vice-President of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia Artur Muradyan gave advice on reducing spending on the New Year ticket.
It is possible to make the tour budgetary if you postpone the trip to earlier or later dates: For example, if you fly before December 25, and return to Russia before January 5, you can avoid a significant rise in price of the tour.
Air carriers and hotels increase prices for services when the flow of tourists increases sharply, in particular, during the New Year holidays. A trip on such days can cost 70% more than the average cost of a similar tour, which is planned at other times.
“The increase in prices for peak dates, which, of course, include the New Year holidays, is always 60-70%. This is a traditional attempt to compensate for the lack of income in the post-New Year dates, when the tourist flow is usually significantly reduced ..., Muradyan explained.
The maximum demand is for tours that fall on certain numbers. At home and abroad, they are different. In Russia, the peak demand - from December 28 to January 9-10, abroad - from late December to January 7-9.
