Rosstat published data on tourist trips abroad in January-September 2022, the growth of the Russian tourist flow leads Mongolia (The number of Russian tourists increased by 75 times).
In just 9 months of the year, our compatriots made 17.1 million trips abroad, 25% more than in the same period a year earlier. The first places in the number of Russian tourists are occupied by Abkhazia (4.4 million) with an increase of 106%, Turkey (3.4 million) with an increase of 98.7% and the UAE (708.6 thousand, an increase of 2 times).
The leader in the growth of Russian tourist flow is Mongolia, 92 thousand Russians went there in January-September. This is 74.8 times more than in the same period a year ago. This increase may be due to the lifting of restrictions on the entry of foreigners imposed due to the coronavirus.
In second place in terms of growth is Thailand (28.5 thousand tourists from Russia, which is 14.7 times more than a year ago). The third is Georgia with an eightfold increase (631 thousand tourists).
The tourist flow to Finland (by 4.5 times, to 637,000 tourists), Estonia (by 4.3 times, to 488,000 tourists), the Dominican Republic (by 3.2 times, to 88,000 tourists), Israel (by 2.4 times, to 62.4 thousand tourists), Egypt (by 2.2 times, to 578,000 tourists).
