Interest of Russian tourists China in the velvet season is growing noticeably: according to the channel “Izvestia”, booking flights from Russia to China for the period from August to October has almost doubled.
According to statistics of one of the tourist aggregators, China has gained a foothold in the top 5 most popular foreign airlines among Russians. The October segment is particularly revealing: this month, China surpassed Thailand for the first time in terms of bookings, underscoring the growing interest in the Chinese destination.
The growth of popularity can be associated with the expansion of the flight program, improved transport accessibility, as well as a variety of tourist opportunities: from excursion routes to historical cities to recreation in resorts and gastronomic travel. At the same time, the comfortable format of trips, including with private guides, allows tourists to delve deeper into the culture of the country and build a route taking into account personal preferences (as we discussed earlier).
