Yuri Barzykin, Vice-President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry, Chairman of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on entrepreneurship in the field of tourism, said that in 2021, tourism indicators in domestic and foreign destinations exceed the level of 2020.
According to him, in 2021, among domestic destinations, the Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Tyumen, Altai, and the routes of the North Caucasus reached a new level.
Speaking about outbound tourism, Barzykin noted the instability of the situation, but also added that now there is a tendency to restore it. The most popular destinations among Russians are Turkey, Egypt, UAE, Cyprus and others.
