Experts compared the data on bookings of Russian hotels in the autumn of 2023 and 2022.
Top 10 regions with the fastest growing share and interest in terms of hotel bookings
- The Republic of Ingushetia – 200% growth
- Orel region - 100% increase,
- Republic of Adygea - growth by 54%
- Republic of Mordovia - growth by 50%,
- Karachay-Cherkess Republic – growth by 46%
- Lipetsk region - an increase of 41.2%,
- Vladimir region 36% increase,
- Republic of Mari El - growth by 35.7%
- smolensk - 33.3% increase,
- Kursk region - 33.3 percent increase.
In the Central Federal District, demand growth was recorded in the Orel, Lipetsk and Vladimir regions, in the North-Western district - in the Vologda, Novgorod and Arkhangelsk regions. In the Southern Federal District, Adygea, Kalmykia and the Krasnodar Territory lead, and in the North Caucasus - Ingushetia and Karachay-Cherkessia.
The interest of Russian tourists is shifting from big cities and popular tourist destinations to less common and new. Mass tourism is eroding, travel becomes individual.
