Krasnaya Polyana resort will extend the ski season until May 10

The ski resort Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi will extend the skiing season until May 10.

The press service reports: The amount of snow on the resort’s tracks is enough to extend the skiing season until mid-May. Until May 10 inclusive, rentals, instructors, ski service and the Academy of Riders will work at the resort for training children, and guests of hotels on Polyana 540 and Polyana 960 will receive free ski passes for the entire period of stay.

In winter 2021, a stable snow cover was formed on the ski slopes due to snowfalls and artificial snowmaking systems. In March, meteorologists predict several more snowfalls.

As for summer plans, the traditional Bonus Summer Camp is due to take place in June. The venue will remain unchanged – the Circus-2 mountain valley at an altitude of 2050 m above sea level, where snow persists even when alpine meadows bloom.

Sales of ski passes in the ski resorts of Sochi grew last winter by 20%. Maya Lomidze, Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR): Last winter season was a breakthrough for ski tourism in Russia.
