The resort collection 2023 in Russia: where and how much is collected?
The resort fee will not be charged in St. Petersburg in 2023. Earlier it was planned that in test mode such a tool will work from August 1 of this year.
Vice-Governor of the city Boris Piotrovsky said that this year will be worked out all the legal acts and prepared infrastructure, and to the issue of collection plan to return in 2024.
In early December 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law extending the experiment for two years to levy a resort fee. In the Crimea, Altai, Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, the experiment is extended until December 31, 2024 inclusive. The list of regions that will be able to charge a resort fee included St. Petersburg and the federal territory of Sirius.
St. Petersburg authorities made a balanced decision that does not “break” the structure of the summer season-2023 tour operators and allows tourists to book tours in June-July, in August, and in the autumn months.
In the Stavropol Territory resort fee charged since 2008 on the territory kislovodsk. PyatigorskZheleznovodsk and Essentuki. From August 1, 2023, the city of Mineralnye Vody will appear in this list. The size of the resort fee will be 100 r. per day.
According to the calculations of the regional authorities, this year the district will receive more than 4.4 million rubles from the resort fee, and in 2024 - more than 10.8 million rubles.
According to Sergey Romashkin, of the TOP-5 resorts of Kavminvod, the city of Mineral Waters is least in demand among tourists who go on vacation.
As a rule, tourists interested in sanatorium rest go to other regions of Kavminvod - this is Kislovodsk, Pyatigorsk, Zheleznovodsk and Yessentuki. And for them, Mineral Waters is just a point of arrival <...> the economics of introducing a resort fee in a particular city raises questions.
