May holidays: where are Russians going with children?

The number of long weekend bookings for travelers with children increased by 57.1% compared to the same period in 2022. Most often, families book hotels for 4-7 days: this duration is recorded in 47.4% of cases.
25.8% of tourists will go on 2-3 days, and 21.9% will go on one day. Others booked accommodation for more than a week.
The most popular Russian city for family holidays in early May was St. Petersburg: its share was 20.5% of all hotel bookings in the country.
Most often in the Northern capital choose accommodation facilities without stars - apartments, hostels, guest houses. 15% of travelers will spend holidays in Sochi, 14.5% in Moscow. Travelers choose four-star hotels.
Families will also go to kaliningrad (5.7%), Kazan (3.2%), Nizhny Novgorod (2.7%), volgograd (1.8%), yaroslavl (1.7%), Vladivostok (1.6%) and Pskov (1.5%).
In Kaliningrad, Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod, families with children usually choose hotels with four stars, in Volgograd, Yaroslavl and Pskov, accommodation facilities without stars are in demand, and in Vladivostok, 3-star hotels are booked.
