Moscow Announces Cancellation of QR Code System
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on the air of the Rossiya 24 channel announced the abolition of the QR code system in the capital on July 19.
According to Sobyanin, the initiative was justified: most companies vaccinated 60% of their staff. Over the past month, about 2 million people have been vaccinated.
The code pass system has been operating since June 28, and is extended to catering points and events numbering more than 500 people.
Last week, Sobyanin said in a personal blog that the situation with the coronavirus in the capital is already returning to normal, but the number of new cases and hospitalizations is still high.
