Norway opens to tourists from Russia

ATOR reports that the Russians can again go to Norway for tourist purposes.

“Prior to travel, all travellers over the age of 16 are required to register. Russian vaccines against COVID-19 are not recognized in the country, so Russians vaccinated with domestic drugs will have to undergo quarantine and additional testing upon arrival, said Olga Filippenko, Director of the Norwegian Tourism Council in Russia.

The registration form on the entrynorway website is pre-filled by all tourists, regardless of their vaccination status.

To enter, adults need a PCR test result no older than 24 hours. Another rapid test will take place within a day after arrival.

Citizens of the Russian Federation immunized with Russian vaccines, covid or unvaccinated, need to undergo quarantine on arrival (at least three days). You can isolate yourself in a convenient place for tourists (cottage, fishing base) or a quarantine hotel. Stay in a special hotel - 500 Norwegian kroner / day (4.2 thousand rubles).

The tourist must be ready at the entrance to confirm the reservation. In quarantine, a foreigner should avoid contact.

After 3 days of isolation, the tourist passes another PCR analysis. If the result is negative, you can continue the trip.

The Embassy of the Kingdom in Russia already issues visas. You can apply at 22 visa centers.

Since November 9, 2021, air communication between the two countries has been opened. Flights - twice a week, the ticket price - from 13 755 rubles.
Tourists will not be able to reach Norway through land borders. Traffic through the road border crossing near Kirkenes is limited by the Russian government, and Finland and Sweden do not allow travelers, including transit.
