Tourist train "Imperial route" passed from Yekaterinburg to Alapayevsk

The Department of Information Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region informs: a special tourist train "Imperial Route", running between ekaterinburg Alapayevsky made his first trip on February 20.

From Yekaterinburg to Alapayevsk for the first time went branded car, in which tourists can learn the history of the Romanov family and their role in the development of the country. It is part of the national tourism project “Imperial Route”, which covers 20 regions of the country.

Minister of Investments and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region Yevgeny Kopelyan noted that the regional authorities agreed on their traffic grid for the route.

If a regular train from Yekaterinburg to Alapayevsk goes 4 hours and 40 minutes, then the journey in this car takes 2 hours and 55 minutes. In 2021, 34 trips are planned. The route will run on weekends on a special schedule and with a minimum number of stops.

The car is decorated with a special photo zone, imitating the interior of the times of the Russian emperor. Passengers can try on historical costumes and listen to the story of the Romanov dynasty.

As part of the tour, guests will visit the Museum of Memory of Representatives of the Russian Imperial House "Floor School in Alapayevsk", the P.I. Tchaikovsky House-Museum, the narrow-gauge railway, the Mezhnaya mine and the open-air museum of wooden architecture in Lower Sinyachikha.

The train car is equipped with air conditioning and disinfection systems, eco-friendly toilets. For passengers, soft seats are equipped with the possibility of adjusting the back angle and personal outlets. People with limited mobility will be able to travel on the train.

The Imperial Route project is implemented by the government of the Sverdlovsk region, the Tourism Development Center of the Sverdlovsk region, the Sverdlovsk suburban company, the Elisavetinsk-Sergievsk Educational Society Foundation. The project is aimed at popularizing the 300-year history of the Imperial House of Romanov.
