The publication "Al-Shuruk" reports that the domestic payment system "Mir" can earn in Egypt in the coming days.
Sources in the field of economy and tourism told Al-Shuruk about the implementation of the Mir system and the start of operations with Russian rubles in Egyptian banks and tourist resorts in the coming days.
The decision on transactions with Russian rubles was not affected by information about the refusal of Turkish banks to interact with the payment system due to possible sanctions by the United States.
Russian Ambassador to Cairo Georgy Borisenko noted in September that our country will cooperate with the Central Bank of Egypt on the possibility of using Mir cards and hopes to complete the process in the near future.
