Re-closure of borders in Russia is not planned

On October 5, the operational headquarters for the prevention of the import and spread of a new coronavirus infection in Russia announced that it does not plan a new closure of borders and restriction of air traffic.

On Monday, the first Deputy head of the social Committee of the Federation Council Valery Ryazansky said that in connection with the growing number of cases of coronavirus in Russia may again close the borders and reduce the number of flights.

However, the Operational Headquarters for Combating Coronavirus Infection on the same day commented on the words of the senator, and denied them, saying that there are no plans to re-close the borders: “The Operational Headquarters does not plan to make a decision on closing the borders and restricting air traffic.”
