The Russian government simplifies the issuance of visas for foreign relatives of Russians

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers Mikhail Mishustin reported on the decision of the Russian government to simplify the procedure for issuing visa documents and staying in our country of foreign relatives of Russian citizens.

To do this, amendments will be made to the law "On the procedure for leaving the Russian Federation for entry into the Russian Federation."

" "We will simplify the procedure for issuing ordinary private visas and staying in Russia close relatives of our citizens: spouses, parents, children, brothers and sisters, grandparents, grandchildren who have other citizenship," Mishustin said at a government meeting on September 16.

Under the new rules, the issuance of long-term private visas with a validity of up to one year will be possible on the basis of a simple written application of our citizen.

The rule of law, due to which every three months guests had to leave the Russian Federation to preserve the right to obtain visa documents, will be excluded.

“This will create more comfortable conditions for families that are still separated by borders and make life easier for those who want to stay with us. They will have more time to obtain a temporary residence permit or a residence permit.”
