Premium tourism in the summer of 2026: where do wealthy tourists go?
In the segment of expensive tours (worth more than $ 10,000), the undisputed leader remains TurkeyIt accounts for 87% of sales. Second place.Vietnam with a share of 9%, followed by the Maldives and Egypt (2% each). The share of the UAE still does not reach 1%, and Thailand due to the lack of summer charter flights almost fell off the list of popular destinations.
Family trips are most often chosen for Turkey, Egypt and Vietnam, while the Maldives mainly attract couples.
The demand in the premium segment this summer is significantly influenced by several factors: the stability of the destination, the availability of direct flights or the possibility of business class flight. In addition, tourists increasingly appreciate the flexibility of tour operators and an individual approach to solving any issues during the trip.
Previously, a significant part of premium trips accounted for European destinations, but now interest in them has decreased significantly. The reason is the accumulated difficulties with transportation, visa processing and general logistics. As a result, tourists are reoriented to more predictable and convenient from the point of view of organizing travel countries.
Among the most popular destinations for expensive travel, experts single out the Maldives, as well as Vietnam, which is gaining popularity.
The main request of wealthy travelers today is calmness and information detox. Tourists tend to disconnect from the news stream and find themselves in silence. Another noticeable trend is the focus on quality rest and restoration of mental health: people are looking for the quietest places away from the noise and highways, where you can be alone with nature and fully relax.
Holidays with a private guide in the premium segment give additional advantages: the guide takes on all organizational aspects, helps to build a route for personal preferences, selects secluded locations inaccessible to mass tourists, and provides a comfortable solution to any household and logistics issues. This format allows you to fully focus on rest, without being distracted by planning and unforeseen situations, and make the trip truly individual and relaxed.
