The program of tourist cashback extended, it will allocate 4.7 billion rubles

The Russian government has decided to allocate an additional 4.7 billion rubles for the implementation of a new stage of the tourist cashback program.

The corresponding order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the press service of the government reported on Friday.

The funds will be used to reimburse part of the costs for those who travel in Russia. The amount of return is 20% of the tour cost, but not more than 20 thousand rubles. Cashback is credited only for trips paid for by the Mir card, with the money coming to it automatically within five days from the date of payment for the trip.

The new stage of the program, which started on March 18 on behalf of the Russian president, should last until the end of 2021. Last month, additional funding was allocated for its implementation.

On April 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed extending the tourist cashback program until the end of 2021. The head of state also said that it is necessary to return half the cost of children’s travel to summer camps to their parents.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that the Russians in the third stage of the tourist cashback program purchased tours for 12.5 billion rubles, and they returned almost 2.4 billion rubles.

The tourist cashback program will allow you to get 20% of the cost of a trip in Russia to the Mir card, which must be paid for the tour. The maximum amount of cashback for one payment is 20 thousand rubles.

The first stage of the tourist cashback program was held at the end of August 2020, 60 thousand people were able to use it. The second phase began in mid-October. The third comes from March 18, 2021.
