Russians told about their fears in travel

Travel Service and “SberInsurance” interviewed our compatriots and found out what Russians fear when traveling. The most popular answer is to be late for a flight, train or bus (27%).

Russians' fears

• 20% fear losing their passport or documents, and 11% fear getting sick.
• The same number of Russians called one of the fears of bad weather during the trip.
• Bank card or wallet theft: 8% of respondents
• Problems at the hotel (overbooking or bad room), loss of luggage - 6% of respondents.
• Russians are least afraid of the language barrier (5%).

Real problems

• Tourists face flight delays of 55%.
• In second place are health problems. Although only 1 in 10 people are afraid of getting sick, 37% of insurance cases required medical care in 2023.
• Delayed luggage (5%).
• Loss of documents or luggage – less than 1% of tourists.
