From the second half of December, Aeroflot plans to introduce an additional flight from Moscow to Phuket. In turn, S7 will add to the winter schedule one flight per week from Vladivostok, Irkutsk and Novosibirsk, and will launch a new regular flight from Ulan-Ude to the island. Thus, the total number of flights from Russia to Phuket will increase to 10 per week, the embassy said.
From September 1, Russian tourists can enter Thailand under the Sandbox scheme, which was introduced from July 2021, if they received two doses of the Sputnik V vaccine.
From 1 November, the country’s authorities also allowed entry under the simplified Test&go scheme to citizens of 63 countries with high vaccination rates. They can travel in Thailand without restrictions after a test at the airport. Russia is not on this list.
To travel to Thailand, tourists need to obtain insurance, including treatment for coronavirus with coverage of at least $ 50,000.
At the entrance, you must demonstrate a vaccination certificate and a PCR test made no earlier than 72 hours before the trip. Children under 18 need only a test.
