Russian Railways will launch tourist trains “To the Northern Lights on the Santa Claus Train” and “To Karelia on the Santa Claus Train” from Moscow.
Russian Railways extends the fairy tale and gives an opportunity for tourists and travelers to continue their journey on the Santa Claus train on two tourist routes.
Train No. 932 "To the Northern Lights on Santa Claus Train" will go from Moscow from January 31 to September 2. The train will depart every week on Wednesdays from the Leningrad station on the route Moscow - Petrozavodsk - Murmansk - Sortavala - Moscow. The train will be on the road for five days.
Train No. 930 "To Karelia by Santa Claus train" will go from February 2 to September 13 on the route Moscow - Petrozavodsk - Sortavala - Petrozavodsk - Moscow. It will depart every Friday and is designed for a weekend trip.
The cost of the trip includes travel, excursion program, set of bed linen on the train, road set.
Trains of Santa Claus will be used as a hotel on wheels, which will save tourists time and money, moving between cities at night and sightseeing during the day.
Tourist trains will allow you to visit not only the most beautiful cities of Karelia and the Russian North, but also protected corners, which are difficult to get by other means of transport.
As part of the trip, tourists will see the nature of Karelia and the Arctic, the famous icebreaker "Lenin", meet the dawn on the shore of Lake Onega, visit the village of Teriberka, visit the exposition "Trains of Santa Claus" and the mountain park "Ruskeala" in Karelia, taste Arctic and Karelian cuisine.
Tickets for these two trains are sold at the railway ticket offices, on the official website of Russian Railways and in the mobile application. When buying online, you need to specify the route "Moscow October - Moscow October Tourist".
