How many Russians dream of traveling for the New Year?
In November 2021, Ipsos asked Russians about their wishes for the New Year.
40% of Russian citizens will reduce their expenses for the holiday, who want to get a trip as a gift most of all among women aged 24-35.
Analysts have found out where Russians would like to go for the New Year holidays. 74% will spend holidays at home, and 6% chose a dacha (while women are more inclined to spend holidays at home (78%), and men often choose a dacha (8%). 6% planned to travel to Russia, and 1.6% - abroad.
The share of those who plan to travel to Russia and abroad is higher among residents of the Central Federal District. In the Ural Federal District, the share of those who plan to go abroad is even higher than in the Central Federal District - 3.3%.
One in eight of our compatriots, or 13%, have not yet decided on plans for the New Year - and travel agencies still have a chance to persuade them to go on a trip.
20% of Russians said they would like to receive a New Year’s tour (travel). Among women, the share of dreamers of such a gift is 23%, and among men - 17%. More than others, we would like that they were given a tour for the New Year, people aged 24-35 years.
