How much is the cost of vaccine tours to Turkey?
Since 2022, the Turkish authorities have allowed foreign citizens to be vaccinated against the coronavirus for a fee.
The vaccine is free of charge and the price of the medical service is about 400 Turkish liras, or $30.
Maya Lomidze, Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), said that the proposal came from the Turkish side: It found a response from companies that were engaged in this type of product in other countries. But we do not see much revival among the main tour operators in Turkey.”
Vaccine tours are a specific product and cannot be provided as an additional service.
“This is not a walk or a tour. It's a medical issue. Therefore, tour operators are not in a hurry to offer this service as part of a standard package, which is theoretically possible. "
“There is interest from both tour operators and tourists,” she added.
On January 18, the Russian Express tour operator opened the sale of tours to Turkey (Istanbul), in which tourists can be vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the WHO. The Pfizer Double Vaccination Certificate obtained in Turkey is valid in Europe and for U.S. visa applications.
The minimum price of the tour is from 46,400 rubles per person: the package includes two nights at the three-star hotel, transfers, services of a Russian-speaking guide and accompanying a tourist for vaccination. Longer tours cost from 49,400 rubles for 3 nights and from 52,500 for 4.
A booster dose for the Sutnik V vaccine cannot be made in Turkey, and two visits are needed to the country, since only two-component vaccines are supplied there.
