Demand for flights to Moldova increased sharply
By mid-August, the demand for air tickets from Russia Moldova increased by 34.4% in annual terms, which is 4.5 times higher than the growth rate for foreign flights as a whole.
Total demand for foreign flights from Russia grew by 7.8% over the same period, while Moldova’s share among foreign destinations increased by 0.27 percentage points.
At the same time, the direction remains relatively expensive: the average cost of a round trip ticket is 57,995 rubles - this is significantly higher than the average for foreign routes (36,938 rubles). During the year, prices for flights to Moldova increased by 4.4%, which corresponds to the general market dynamics. In terms of cost, such a flight is comparable to travel to China, the UAE, Israel or Egypt.
Among major foreign destinations, only the demand for trips to Abkhazia is growing faster than Moldova - it increased by 102.5%. Also among the leaders in dynamics are China (growth by 33.2%) and Uzbekistan (by 22.3%).
