Thailand to cancel quarantine for vaccinated tourists
On February 1, the government of Thailand will resume the Test & Go program for vaccinated tourists.
The Bangkok Post quoted Nalita Andamo, a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Marati, as saying that the Test & Go scheme will be extended to vaccinated travelers from all countries.
It is not yet clear how this should relate to the rules of another program, Sandbox, used by the Russians.
On Test & Go, you will need to show a negative PCR result, obtained no earlier than 72 hours, pass the test on arrival and on the fifth day of stay in the country.
Travelers must book a hotel for at least five days.
Now vaccinated "Sputnik V" Russians can come on vacation to Thailand under the scheme "Sandbox". From February 1, Chang Island in Trat province, Banglamung, Siracha, Sichang Island and Pattaya in Chonburi province will be added to the list.
Unvaccinated tourists (and Russians not vaccinated with Sputnik V) are required to undergo a 10-day quarantine in special hotels at their own expense.
