Turkey: how and where will the coronavirus travelers be accommodated?

The Ministry of Tourism and Culture of the Republic of Turkey has tightened the requirements for hotels.

From August 24, all accommodation facilities, regardless of whether they received a “health certificate” or not, are required to allocate part of the room fund for accommodation of tourists with coronavirus. Hotels that do not comply with this requirement may be subject to certificate cancellation.

The number of isolation rooms will vary depending on the number of rooms. Objects with up to 50 rooms are ordered to allocate one room for isolation, up to 100 rooms - two, up to 200 - four, up to 300 - six. If there are more than 500 rooms, owners must provide 10 of them for quarantine.

Rooms should be on the same floor and in a separate block to minimize potential contact with other holidaymakers.
If the hotel does not have the opportunity to allocate rooms at a distance from the main room fund, then for physical distance two rooms on each side of the insulator should be empty.

The document stipulates that tourists diagnosed with coronavirus (if treatment does not require hospitalization), will be able to stay in the hotel in the isolation room with relatives or other accompanying persons. It is forbidden to leave the premises.

They will be provided with food and drinks, will clean the room. Staff will undergo special training and will be prohibited from contacting other staff and guests. Products used for tourists in isolation should be stored separately.
