Russians will be able to stay in hotels without presenting documents, confirming their identity through the Unified Biometric System (EBS). The corresponding resolution was approved by the Russian government.
This opportunity will be implemented in the form of a special service that will simplify the settlement procedure as much as possible, make it faster and more comfortable for citizens. The launch of the service in pilot mode is scheduled for the second half of 2024.

To confirm the identity of the biometrics will be enough one look. After that, it will only remain to get the key and go to your room ..., the message says.
Biometric service will significantly reduce the burden on hotel staff, solve the problem of queues at check-in counters, which is especially important during mass events and in the height of the tourist season.
“The service will be available to those who have registered confirmed biometrics. It can be delivered in person in 12,000 bank branches throughout Russia. A confirmed profile in the EBS gives access to a full list of biometric services - from obtaining an electronic SIM card to issuing a qualified electronic signature or remotely opening a bank account.
